Due to the coronavirus situation, we had temporarily canceled all services after March 15, 2020. But as of May 24, 2020, we have resumed our Sunday 10 a.m. worship service. Until further notice, that will be the only service we have in the building each week.
We are a small group of only about 38 people. The majority of our members (21) are over 65 years of age, and many of these have not yet returned. For the last 4 services since May 24, we have averaged only 23 people for each service. This number is made up of family groups and singles, which is about 14 sitting-arrangement groups. So it has been easy to practice social distancing in an auditorium that could probably accommodate more than 200 people if social distancing did not need to be practiced.
As a precautionary measure, we are also using pre-filled and sealed communion cups that have the unleavened bread sealed and attached to the top of them. These are picked up in the foyer when entering the building. They are placed in the communion trays each week by a person wearing gloves and spaced far enough apart that an individual cup can be selected by not touching the other cups.
It will be posted when we do resume our other services, which will then be at the following times:
- 9 a.m. Bible Class (canceled until further notice)
- 10 a.m. Worship (our only service per week for the time being)
- 5 p.m. Worship (canceled until further notice)
- 7:00 p.m. Bible Class (canceled until further notice)
